figleaves.com UK, a long-standing online retailer, wanted to boost shopper trust and sales by capturing customer feedback and understanding how reviews influence purchasing behavior. Six months after launching a reviews program they asked Bazaarvoice to analyse conversion and sales by review volume and date to determine whether customer reviews were driving improved performance.
figleaves.com UK implemented Bazaarvoice’s Ratings & Reviews as part of their marketing strategy; the results showed a clear uplift — products with reviews had a 12.5% higher conversion rate overall, products with 20+ reviews converted 83.85% better, and the same products saw a 35.27% higher session conversion after reviews went live. Reviews also improved efficiency: the look-to-book ratio was four times lower for reviewed items (products without reviews showed a 32.6% worse look-to-book), and products without reviews were not negatively impacted.
