Oak Furnitureland’s social program doubles conversion rate

Oak Furnitureland, the UK furniture retailer, needed a way to prove the quality and real-life appeal of its products online, just as customers could experience in its 75 stores. It worked with Bazaarvoice and its user-generated content (UGC) tools to bring authentic photos and social proof into the digital shopping experience, helping online shoppers see how the furniture looks in real homes.

Bazaarvoice implemented Like2buy, Bazaarvoice Galleries, and moderation services to turn social content into shoppable inspiration and streamline UGC management. The results were strong: Like2buy drove a 79% click-through rate on 11,000 visits, Galleries increased time on site by 281%, conversion by 248%, and average order value by 21%, while Oak Furnitureland said UGC engagement was tracking at twice the rate of brand-generated content.
