Working with Bazaarvoice, they launched the “Comfort Stories” campaign asking customers to share how La-Z-Boy brought comfort to their lives, with major prizes and instant-win incentives to encourage participation.
The promoted contest (email blasts and homepage buttons) generated 2,722 story entries and more than 38,500 registered visitors; 12,924 (33%) directly opted in — roughly 13,000 new prospects. Entrants returned an average of 6.8 times and spent about 3 minutes per entry (≈21 minutes engagement), 67% planned a furniture purchase within 18 months, and overall site traffic rose about 8%, making the campaign a high-impact, repeatable marketing tactic.
