Home Depot Seeds Sampling program doubles conversion rates

The Home Depot Canada has been innovating its e-commerce experience with Bazaarvoice for years, using user-generated content (UGC) to help shoppers make more confident purchase decisions. To boost ratings and reviews across product pages, the retailer turned to Bazaarvoice’s Managed Sampling and Seeds Sampling program, which sends products to loyal customers in exchange for honest feedback.

Bazaarvoice’s solution helped Home Depot Canada generate more high-quality reviews, including photo reviews, for seasonal, regional, exclusive, and new product launches. In one example, Philips WiZ products in the Seeds program saw more reviews in a month than any other WiZ item, and their conversion rate was 68% higher than comparable products not included in the program, showing a clear lift in traffic, engagement, and sales.
