Puma partnered with Bastian Solutions to address growing fulfillment challenges at its North America distribution operations. The goal was to bring multiple distribution activities under one roof, achieve same-day shipping for e-commerce orders, and create a system that could scale smoothly through peak holiday demand. Bastian Solutions helped Puma pursue this with an AutoStore goods-to-person fulfillment approach.

Bastian Solutions designed and implemented an AutoStore-based system in Puma’s Torrance, California 3PL facility, supported by Exacta warehouse execution software and integrated conveyance, labeling, and sortation equipment. The solution consolidated inventory into one site, storing 30,000 SKUs and boosting productivity to about 200 e-commerce lines per hour per operator and 700 wholesale units per hour per operator, roughly 2-3 times prior throughput. With Bastian Solutions’ system in place, Puma now meets same-day e-commerce shipping requirements and handles peak-season volumes more easily.
