Navarre Corporation, a Minneapolis-based distributor of PC software, video games, DVDs and music, faced a cumbersome, time-consuming picking process that required picking to pallets and then to final shipping containers. To streamline operations, Navarre engaged Bastian Solutions to expand its system and implement a pick-to-voice solution (using the Vocollect voice engine) alongside other material-handling upgrades.

Bastian Solutions installed three 3-level tri-lane pick modules with bi-directional divert conveyors, motor-driven rollers, powered spirals, sorters, scanners, in-motion check weighing and the Exacta warehouse control system, enabling employees to pick directly into shipping containers. As a result, Bastian Solutions helped Navarre maximize warehouse space and sustain continued growth and seasonal volume without investing in additional real estate, significantly improving throughput and operational efficiency.
