Davcor Group, a wholesale distributor founded in 1988, needed a single Sydney distribution facility to service all Australian states while reducing warehouse footprint and ongoing lease and operating costs, improving productivity and efficiency, and achieving accurate inventory control. To meet these objectives they partnered with Bastian Solutions and chose the AutoStore high‑density storage system.

Bastian Solutions implemented an AutoStore goods‑to‑person system (9,690 bin locations, 9 robots, 3 carousel ports, system space usage 258 m² within the grid/mezzanine) to consolidate operations and optimize picking. The solution reduced Davcor’s warehouse footprint from 4,300 sqm to 1,200 sqm, stores 6,571 SKUs across over 12,700 compartments, delivers 800 AutoStore bin presentations per hour, supports 4,000 consignments a month with same‑day pickup/shipping, and cut electricity costs by 75%.
