Chelsea Milling engaged Bastian Solutions to fully automate palletizing and distribution for its "Jiffy" Mixes line, consolidating 10 inbound manufacturing lines into a multi-line robotic palletizing system. The project aimed to eliminate hours of manual case palletization to reduce long-term operator injury, improve quality control, and provide flexibility for future growth.

Bastian Solutions installed a robotic palletizing system featuring 2 Fanuc M-410 robots, a computer-controlled 5-camera Cognex vision system for case verification, pallet de-stacking and perimeter guarding, and integrated Hytrol and Dorner conveyors and sortation. The solution met the design goal of 55 cartons per minute, reduced the number of operators needed per shift, increased case inspection and quality-control capabilities, and positioned Chelsea Milling for scalable growth while protecting employees.
