Central Power Systems, a distributor of small-engine service parts and outdoor power equipment to roughly 6,000 registered service dealers across several U.S. states and the Bahamas, had outgrown its facility and planned a move to a larger distribution center in Columbus, Ohio. As an existing customer, Central Power Systems engaged Bastian Solutions to design a scalable, turn‑key order‑fulfillment system to support future growth, including conveyors, ExactaWCS warehouse control, pick‑to‑light, rack and carton‑flow storage, and an interface to their existing WMS.

Bastian Solutions delivered the complete solution—Hytrol conveyor system with ExactaWCS routing, pick‑to‑light, pallet and carton flow rack, pack stations, slotting analysis, and relocation services to transfer equipment from CPS’s Alabama and Ohio sites—on time and within budget despite a tight schedule. The implementation improved picking efficiency through slotting recommendations, enabled a smooth equipment transfer, and left Central Power Systems well positioned to meet its future growth goals.
