Astra-CFX SC, LLC (Astra-CFX) needed a high‑precision tire and wheel sequencing operation to supply BMW’s X3 line, meeting strict throughput and error‑free “Just in Sequence” requirements. Astra-CFX invested $9 million in a new Greer, SC facility and selected Bastian Solutions’ Exacta Warehouse Management System and Exacta Warehouse Control System, together with automation and material‑handling equipment, to meet BMW’s standards.

Bastian Solutions implemented Exacta WMS/WCS plus RF handhelds, pick‑to‑light, AS/RS, conveyors and control integration to automate sequencing and assembly. The solution enabled consistent production of at least 200 assemblies per hour, full trailer shipments every 3–4 hours, and eliminated sequencing errors and related chargebacks — results BMW praised and which led them to ask Astra-CFX to quote additional vehicle programs.
