TEST-FUCHS secures high value testing equipment and implements predictive maintenance as well as innovative pay-per test cycle consumption services with Barracuda Secure Connector

TEST-FUCHS, a specialist in custom aerospace test systems with more than 500 employees and global service locations, needed a way to support predictive maintenance, protect high-value test equipment, and create secure pay-per-test billing. The company also wanted encrypted communication, data pre-filtering, and a clear security boundary between test benches and surrounding networks. Barracuda Networks’ Secure Connector and firewall solutions were used to address these challenges.

Barracuda Networks implemented Barracuda Secure Connector 2 appliances with edge computing capabilities, plus Barracuda Firewall Control Center for centralized management and network protection. The solution enabled edge logic in LXC containers to pre-filter sensor data, tamper-proof pay-per-test billing, and secure VPN connectivity for remote support. As a result, TEST-FUCHS gained continuous monitoring of device health and test accuracy, protected its internal network, and improved remote access, with encrypted sensor data and always-on 24x7 VPN support.
