The e‑business environment was divided into multiple security zones, had to be managed by several administrators with distinct permissions, required high availability, and demanded a migration from the old system (including partial Token Ring to Ethernet conversion) within a three‑hour window.

Schoellerbank deployed redundant Barracuda NG Firewalls managed centrally via the Barracuda NG Control Center, replacing legacy firewalls within the allotted three hours and implementing features like integrated DNS, web‑farm load sharing, real‑time visualization and an integrated sniffer.
