Sortimo International, a European leader in vehicle racking and mobile transport solutions with about 1,500 employees and 20 branches, faced an ageing next‑generation firewall while migrating core services to Office 365, Exchange Online and Skype for Business. The company needed to roll out SSL inspection, anti‑virus and advanced threat protection to every branch with direct internet breakout, and guarantee high‑performance, reliable connectivity to Citrix and cloud apps without ballooning costs or maintenance overhead.

Working with partner Netz16, Sortimo deployed Barracuda CloudGen Firewall F600 at headquarters and F180 units in HA at each internet‑connected branch, centrally managed via Netz16’s Barracuda Firewall Control Center. The solution delivered SSL inspection, sandboxing/ATP, and intelligent WAN management (with SD‑WAN options ahead), enabling a record‑time migration, centralized managed‑service orchestration, branch‑level security for internet traffic, and improved performance and availability for Office 365, Skype for Business and Citrix.
