A Barracuda Networks Case Study
Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) is a New South Wales–based global center for cerebral palsy research, advocacy and assistive‑technology innovation with roughly 2,500 staff and more than 75 years of history. CPA faced the need to maintain high levels of email security as threats evolved, adapt to infrastructure changes (including a move to Microsoft 365), and demonstrate ongoing compliance with Australia’s Privacy Act.
CPA moved from on‑premises appliances to Barracuda’s cloud platform—deploying Barracuda Email Protection, Cloud Archiving Service, and Cloud‑to‑Cloud Backup—to gain AI‑powered impersonation and account‑takeover protection, incident response, DMARC/domain fraud protection, robust reporting, and M365 backup. The result: continuous email and data protection with no breaches, a searchable archive back to 2013 to support e‑discovery and compliance, protection against accidental deletion and ransomware, clearer reporting for the board, and renewed peace of mind.
