CommuniCare, a regional family of post‑acute care companies headquartered in Ohio with roughly 170 locations across seven states, faced maintaining uninterrupted connectivity during rapid growth and frequent acquisitions. The team needed to onboard new clinics quickly and relocate a central datacenter without changing IPs or disrupting critical services, all while working within tight budget constraints.

With help from Barracuda Professional Services, CommuniCare deployed Barracuda CloudGen Firewall appliances and the Barracuda Firewall Control Center using TINA SD‑WAN to bond multiple ISPs, enable local internet breakouts, and replace costly T1/MPLS links. The deployment provided HA and seamless failover, cut ISP costs, supported staged cutovers during the datacenter move, and completed the relocation smoothly and more quickly than expected.
