Eissmann Group Automotive Places Trust in Barracuda CloudGen Firewall

Eissmann Group Automotive, a global supplier of premium vehicle interiors with about 4,200 employees across 15 sites, needed to replace aging, out-of-support routers that were reaching performance limits. Central IT in Bad Urach (ten specialists) required a next-generation firewall with reliable IPS, high-performance routing, and efficient centralized management because their previous setup sometimes forced them to disable IPS to avoid overload.

They deployed Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls (F600/F280) and the Barracuda Firewall Control Center, leveraging QoS, VPN/MPLS path management, SD-WAN features and local internet breakout. Implementation was fast and smooth; management tasks that once took up to four hours (like provisioning VPN tunnels) now take about four minutes, IPS can run without performance issues, and centralized monitoring and support have markedly improved.
