Dutch Insurance Provider Deploys Barracuda Firewalls from Data Unit to Gain Seamless End-to-End Data Security for Microsoft Azure

Aevitae is a leading Dutch insurance provider with about 200 employees, 250,000 customers and millions of claims processed annually. Facing aging on‑premises infrastructure and the need for seamless, secure visibility across a hybrid environment, the company sought a solution that would work natively with Microsoft Azure and provide end‑to‑end data security—capabilities their existing firewall vendors could not deliver.

Working with Barracuda and partner Data Unit, Aevitae deployed Barracuda CloudGen Firewall and CloudGen WAF across Azure and its on‑premises data centers. The result is unified, centralized management with a single global ruleset, simplified migration to Azure, improved uptime (automatic TINA failover during an ExpressRoute issue), and a scalable, easy‑to‑manage security platform that meets their hybrid and future cloud needs.
