Dutch Agricultural Cooperative Takes Control of its IT with Barracuda Security Solutions Deployed on Microsoft Azure

Agrifirm is a Dutch cooperative that combines the purchasing power of about 17,500 farmers to supply animal feed, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides. The company struggled with outsourced IT that left them with little control over applications, slow project delivery, high risk of data loss, seasonal scaling challenges and operational issues caused by customers using low‑tech ordering methods.

Agrifirm moved core services to Microsoft Azure and deployed Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls and CloudGen WAF (alongside Office 365 and Azure AD), installing 10–15 firewalls and federating inbound services. The result: improved logging, secure scaling across 80+ virtual servers and cloud services, automatic device connectivity, zero successful cyberattacks, issue resolution in minutes instead of weeks, and noticeably better service and productivity for users and subsidiaries.
