Club Automation is a Chicago-based SaaS provider of ERP software for health and fitness clubs that was experiencing rapid, word-of-mouth growth. The company needed more agility and scalability than its legacy hybrid/private-cloud could deliver while ensuring PCI compliance and tightly restricting backend access to eliminate attack surface in a cloud environment.

To address this, Club Automation migrated to AWS (EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, Aurora) and deployed Barracuda NextGen Firewalls from the AWS Marketplace in its VPC to protect private subnets. The move enabled on‑demand scaling, 30–40% faster deployments, firewall provisioning in under 15 minutes, stronger cardholder-data protection, and the ability to roll out new features—such as a branded mobile app—while preparing for major growth.
