DEK, a UK-based leader in screen printing equipment with more than 800 global email users and 18 satellite offices, was overwhelmed by rising spam and email-borne threats. DEK deployed four Barracuda Email Security Gateways (two 400s and two 300s) in a clustered, redundant setup with per-user quarantine and outbound filtering via a fake MX zone. The solution cut spam by about 90%, blocked viruses and malware, enabled granular email policies to support compliance, and freed staff from time-consuming manual filtering.
