TDS Telecom Partners with Bandwidth to Expand Reach Nationwide

TDS Telecom, the seventh largest local exchange carrier in the U.S. with 1.1 million connections, needed to extend its bundled consumer and business voice services beyond its traditional CLEC footprint as it grew through cable acquisitions. To expand into new markets while ensuring nationwide number availability, integrated 911 and on‑demand provisioning, TDS turned to Bandwidth for a partner with nationwide network capacity and automation tools.

Bandwidth provided an all‑IP CLEC network, bundled 911, automated number selection/provisioning, and a self‑service portal with flexible APIs that integrate into TDS’s softswitch infrastructure. As a result, TDS Telecom now offers voice and 911 services nationwide, can more efficiently integrate acquired cable companies, collapse multiple voice infrastructures into a single unified network, and unlock a much larger addressable market with significant cost savings.
