McLeod Software, maker of the LoadMaster® enterprise dispatch solution used by over 600 asset-based trucking companies and more than 28,000 professionals, needed a way to send and receive SMS with drivers (many without smartphones) and to capture those conversations inside its on‑premise software. To meet those requirements, McLeod selected Bandwidth’s communications API and mobile SDKs for a simple, automatable, on‑site integration.

Bandwidth worked closely with McLeod to deliver a custom API integration and SDK implementation — including complex event‑ordering — producing a prototype in days and full texting functionality soon after. The Bandwidth solution automated message capture and reporting, reduced manual coordination and errors, and enabled faster, more accurate communication with drivers, effectively adding SMS as a native LoadMaster feature across McLeod’s 600+ customers and 28,000+ users.
