Metrobank has Streamlined Voting In Absentia Process for Its Annual Stockholders Meeting

Metrobank, one of the largest banks in the Philippines, needed a reliable virtual solution to run its annual stockholders meeting (ASM) with live broadcasting, secure voting and smooth participant interaction. Metrobank selected Azeus Convene’s ConveneAGM meeting platform to handle registration, live webcast, Q&A moderation and voting in absentia for its ASM.

Azeus Convene implemented ConveneAGM to moderate live questions in real time, allow stockholders to cast votes ahead of the meeting (including cumulative voting for the 12 director seats), automatically compute eligible votes (shares × 15 in Metrobank’s case) and prevent over-voting. The result was a streamlined, structured ASM where registration, voting and Q&A ran seamlessly, enabling Metrobank to conduct a successful virtual meeting with participation and processes comparable to a physical ASM.
