CAFCASS Enjoys an Intuitive and User-Friendly Experience with Convene

The Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service faced rising costs and administrative burden from producing large paper board packs and postage while seeking a secure, user-friendly digital alternative. After preparing a business case that compared printing, assembly time and postage against buying a digital board portal and tablets, they selected Azeus Convene for its device flexibility (including Android), strong security and value for money.

Azeus Convene was trialled, phased in from December 2014 and fully adopted by March 2015 with 13 licences; CAFCASS ran workshops rather than formal admin training and board members used their own devices. The solution cut pack preparation from up to a full day to about half an hour, eliminated roughly 1,300 sheets per meeting, enabled easy updates, secure document storage and annotations, and even allowed custom usability tweaks (e.g., thinner annotation pen), delivering clear time, paper and cost savings.
