Case Study: NIBCO reduces turnover and unifies employee recognition with Awardco

A Awardco Case Study

Preview of the NIBCO Case Study

Building a free-flowing pipeline of employee appreciation

NIBCO, a 120-year-old family-owned leader in flow-control products and plumbing solutions, needed to modernize its long-standing but manual employee recognition processes across 18 sites. Using Awardco’s employee recognition platform, NIBCO aimed to replace spreadsheet-based service anniversaries, inconsistent birthday acknowledgements, and limited access for frontline and offline associates with a unified, scalable system.

Awardco implemented a phased recognition strategy that automated birthdays, service anniversaries, onboarding, and other employee programs while extending access through kiosks, breakroom displays, AwardCodes™, and offline materials. The results were strong: NIBCO recorded more than 7,000 recognitions in year one, achieved an 80% receipt rate, automated 100% of service anniversaries, and saw an 8% reduction in turnover, contributing to an estimated $5.79 million in turnover cost savings.
