AvidPay AP Software Liberates Housing Provider from Thousands of Paper Checks

Campus Apartments, a student housing provider managing over $2 billion in assets across more than 70 campuses, faced an AP bottleneck: Erin Jaskiewicz’s team was handling hundreds to over a thousand paper checks weekly for roughly 250 vendors, spending excessive time printing, stamping, stuffing and mailing payments—a manual process that limited efficiency and growth and left their Entrata accounting system underutilized.

In March 2019 they implemented AvidXchange’s AvidPay, integrated with Entrata, and shifted vendors to electronic payments (AvidPay Direct, ACH and credit card). The change cut in‑house check processing from as many as 1,400 to about 10 at peak, strengthened vendor relationships, improved cross‑department visibility and reporting, enabled seamless remote work during the pandemic, and required minimal training or downtime.
