A Avaya Case Study
Swegon Germany GmbH, a distributor of the Swedish climate-control group Swegon with nine regional centers, needed to modernize a decentralized IT and communications landscape so staff could collaborate across sites, keep mobile sales teams connected, and relieve a very lean IT team. Decentralized servers and unreliable networking risked downtime that would block order processing, so the company sought a scalable, high‑availability solution to support flexible, cross-site working.
Swegon migrated to Avaya’s Private Cloud and Managed Services—deploying MPLS, a nationwide WLAN, virtual desktops, a virtualized Avaya Aura platform, Equinox, SIP integration and Scopia videoconferencing—creating a single, redundant communications landscape. The result: consistent access to personal work environments from any location, direct-number calling and presence for better customer service, improved knowledge transfer and fewer travel days, low administration overhead (two staff manage ~200 workstations), and flexible, cost‑effective expansion backed by managed support.
