Man Truck & Bus Iberia Unifies 15 Offices with Avaya IP Office

MAN Truck & Bus Iberia, part of the Volkswagen Group and provider of commercial vehicles and after-sales services, needed to replace an aging VoIP system that supported more than 15,000 incoming calls per month across 15 offices in Spain and Portugal. With six sites not yet integrated and telephony critical to customer service, the company sought a reliable, unified solution that would survive network interruptions and simplify management.

Working with partner Infocom, MAN deployed an Avaya IP Office 500v2 centralized in Coslada with IP Office gateways in the other 14 offices, Avaya handsets and DECT, and standardized network electronics. The rollout delivered centralized voicemail and an operator that adapts by site, real-time call monitoring via the Manager interface, continued operation if MPLS fails, faster incident resolution, full integration across sites, and improved system robustness and call-data visibility.
