OpenText, a Canadian software company with more than 12,000 employees and 800 unique hiring managers, was struggling to keep pace with rapid acquisition-driven growth. Its legacy ATS and outsourced recruiting model created disconnected relationships between hiring managers and talent acquisition, heavy admin work, and limited visibility into the recruiting process and candidate status.

Working with Avature and its ATS, OpenText implemented a hiring manager portal to give managers self-service access to candidates, requisitions, interview scheduling, feedback, and process visibility. The result was a more collaborative, strategic TA function that reduced time-to-fill by 7 days globally, improved communication and speed of feedback, and gave OpenText a more transparent recruiting operation.
