Using Avature’s skills parser and custom reports, AmeriLife began analyzing candidate resumes at scale and proving that applicants from non-traditional backgrounds often had the communication, adaptability, and customer service skills needed for success. The shift led to a near-even hiring split, with 49% of hires now coming without a license, and delivered measurable gains: non-traditional hires showed 10% higher first-year retention, 5% higher second-year retention, and stronger weekly average incomes than licensed counterparts.
