Bupa, a global healthcare leader with a large and complex workforce, needed to modernize its recruitment technology to better support varied hiring needs across clinical, corporate, and service roles. In the post-pandemic environment, its existing processes struggled to keep pace, making it difficult to maintain business as usual while improving candidate and recruiter experiences. Bupa turned to Avature to implement new sourcing and hiring capabilities, including ATS and CRM.
Avature delivered a phased, agile implementation that started with core ATS/CRM functionality and then expanded to include agency and referral portals, interview scheduling, SMS, background checks, a mobile app, and LinkedIn Recruiter integration. The results included 6,500 background checks completed, 2,000 referrals, and 450 hires from the referral process, while also improving efficiency, transparency, and recruiter responsiveness. With Avature, Bupa now operates on a six-week release cycle and has built a more scalable recruitment model.
