Case Study: TUI Group achieves centralized, high-availability workload automation and 4,000+ automated daily jobs with Automic Workload Automation

A Automic Case Study

Preview of the TUI Group Case Study

3,600 travel agencies rely on timely processing to keep over 163,000 hotel beds in 28 countries filled

TUI AG, one of Europe’s largest travel groups with 3,600 travel agencies, ~300 hotels and 163,000 beds across 28 countries, needed reliable, just‑in‑time processing for thousands of batch jobs that keep bookings, pricing and travel documents current. TUI InfoTec ran critical nightly and daytime workloads across three different schedulers (including CA‑7, Automic and Tivoli), creating operational risk and a need for centralized control, high availability and disaster recovery.

TUI consolidated its scheduling on Automic Workload Automation, using its multi‑platform support, migration tools, mirrored database across two data centers and clustered servers for high availability and scalability. The switch delivered a single point of control, more than 4,000 automated jobs daily, price and availability updates every 15 minutes, and improved reliability and disaster‑recovery capability.
