Auconet BICS replaces legacy NAC with simplified, central control of entire network and endpoints

Saint Martin’s University faced growing network access and BYOD complexity across a heterogeneous, VLAN-based campus environment with many off-brand student devices and time-consuming manual provisioning. After evaluating major NAC vendors, the University selected Auconet and its Business Infrastructure Control Solution (BICS) to provide a comprehensive, zero-maintenance way to secure, manage, and centrally control the entire network and BYOD access.

Auconet deployed the BICS virtual appliance on-premises and had it fully operational in under two weeks, delivering out-of-band endpoint detection, MAC-based authorization out of the box, web self-registration, vendor-independent operation with no endpoint agents, and no infrastructure changes. The result: centralized control of the entire infrastructure, scalable security for any number of endpoints, and a nearly eliminated need for manual device configuration and intervention.
