Heathrow Airport faced the challenge of helping passengers navigate its large, complex terminals more easily while improving the overall door-to-gate experience. Working with Atrius, Heathrow had already deployed Atrius maps in its terminals and mobile app, and wanted to make the digital wayfinding experience even more accurate and personalized for travelers and airline partners.

Atrius implemented blue dot wayfinding technology on top of Heathrow’s existing digital map platform, pushing real-time location data into the Heathrow app and partner airline apps. The result was a more precise, context-aware passenger journey with live walking directions, personalized recommendations, and better access to airport services—reducing stress, improving navigation, and helping passengers feel more in control of their travel day.
