Accelerating digital transformation with new-generation private cloud

Sephora, a digital pioneer aiming to deliver its New Sephora Experience across stores, web and social channels, faced growing demands on its private cloud (Spray) originally implemented and operated by Atos. Rapidly increasing data volumes and needs for real‑time processing and new applications required a step change in performance, scalability and resilience to support global expansion and ongoing innovation.

Atos partnered with Dell EMC to design and migrate to Spray 2, implementing twin “virtual” data centers with Dell EMC VPLEX and converged VxBlock infrastructure to virtualize storage, delink storage and compute, and enable immediate disaster recovery. The migration finished two weeks early and Atos’s solution delivered excellent peak service with measurable gains (+30% in SAP environments), almost zero data loss, restarts within four hours for critical apps, and a trusted foundation for moving toward a hybrid cloud.
