Oklahoma City - Customer Case Study

Oklahoma City’s Utilities Department—responsible for water, wastewater and trash services across a large metropolitan area of 1.4 million people—needed modern, efficient asset and work-order management. After 17 years on the desktop FleetFocus system, the shop faced workflow bottlenecks (initially one shared computer), manual image and time-entry processes, and slow onboarding for new staff, all of which increased downtime and reduced productivity.

The department implemented AssetWorks FleetFocus EDGE, a mobile-first solution that puts work orders, photos, timers and task allocation on a single, easy-to-use screen accessible from tablets and phones. EDGE enabled in-app photo attachments, automatic labor tracking, real-time supervisor visibility, and simplified training and prioritization—cutting roughly two hours of downtime per day and improving overall shop efficiency.
