Case Study: City of Toronto achieves streamlined, automated fuel operations with AssetWorks

A AssetWorks Case Study

How the City of Toronto is Upgrading to More Efficient Fuel Operations

The City of Toronto, which operates a large municipal fleet, needed a more secure, accurate and efficient way to manage fuel operations. Its aging network of over 130 small, variable-capacity fuel sites relied on manual measurements and error-prone processes, making it difficult to track fuel usage, tank levels and vehicle diagnostics across regions.

AssetWorks implemented FuelFocus integrated with FleetFocus to create larger, strategically located “super-sites” with real-time tank monitoring, automated fuel ordering, and automatic capture of vehicle diagnostics and fueling data. The overhaul consolidates sites to roughly 30 (each holding ~75,000+ litres), eliminates manual reporting, improves maintenance workflows and regulatory compliance, and is expected to deliver significant efficiency gains and cost savings.
