Case Study: City of Calgary achieves accurate and safer fuel management with AssetWorks FuelFocus

A AssetWorks Case Study

Preview of the City of Calgary, Alberta Case Study

How the City of Calgary maintains accuracy and safety using FuelFocus

The City of Calgary’s Fleet Services manages a 600-vehicle fleet across 16 fueling sites in extreme temperatures and faces strict liability for fuel leaks and record-keeping. They needed a reliable, auditable way to control dispensing, prevent losses, and eliminate manual double-entry while providing timely fuel usage data to internal customers.

Calgary implemented AssetWorks’ FuelFocus integrated with its FleetFocus system, adding card/keypad access, leak-detection and temperature-compensated tank sensors, automated daily reconciliation, and a custom feed to the city accounting system. The result: accurate, automated transaction recording and billing, faster error detection, improved preventive maintenance scheduling, and stronger safety and accountability across the fleet.
