Artera Rapid Release Program Enables San Ysidro Health to Improve Access to Care During Pandemic

San Ysidro Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving patients across San Diego County, needed to rapidly communicate COVID-19 guidance and coordinate telehealth and in-person visits during the pandemic. In April 2020 the organization turned to Artera’s Rapid Release Program to deliver urgent patient messaging at scale.

Artera implemented its Rapid Release Program—enabling bidirectional, automated texting with a 48-hour rollout—to send appointment reminders (ask patients to wear masks), Saturday health line notices, and launch a TeleDental pilot. In the first 60 days San Ysidro Health sent 226,546 messages via Artera, helping improve access to testing and care and reach thousands of patients quickly.
