Jane Pauley Community Health Center Increases Access to Care Across Community-Based Populations in Central Indiana with Artera

Jane Pauley Community Health Center (JPCHC), an OCHIN‑affiliated Federally Qualified Health Center serving underserved populations across central Indiana, needed to modernize patient communications beyond a one‑way reminder system to better reach patients who work long hours and prefer texting. To expand access, reduce phone burden, and enable conversational outreach, JPCHC selected Artera’s patient communication platform (going live in October 2022).

Artera delivered conversational messaging, broadcast campaigns, integrations (Epic, Feedtrail via Artera’s message API) and Analytics Plus, with a turnkey 4–6 week implementation. As a result, JPCHC saw a 31% reduction in no‑shows, saved an estimated 3,100 staff hours, tripled patient survey response rates, increased MyChart users by 10%, and achieved 88% of patient responses within one hour—while improving slot utilization, language support, and overall patient access.
