Vodafone ARCHIBUS Web Central and Dashboards Support Billion Dollar Savings Initiative

Vodafone Group, headquartered in Berkshire, is the world’s largest mobile telecommunications company with operations across multiple countries and revenues of £75 billion. As part of a company-wide £1 billion cost-reduction initiative, Vodafone UK needed to improve the cost-efficiency of its real estate — a portfolio of 44 office and exchange buildings (1.45 million sq ft) with roughly 7,000 employee moves a year — and replace spreadsheet-based processes to meet a 95% occupancy target.

Vodafone deployed ARCHIBUS Space and Move Management with Web Central dashboards and AutoCAD integration (via partner Excitech), adding web self-service move requests, graphical reporting and a moves-upload utility. The solution enabled a one-day quarterly census, faster and more accurate space and personnel data, streamlined move management, better strategic planning and measurable operational savings while providing a template for Europe-wide best-practice rollout.
