ArcESB Facilitates Connectivity Between BMW and Auto Lamp Supplier

BMW’s auto lamp supplier needed to integrate electronic order processing and fulfillment with BMW’s EDI system but wanted to avoid the time and expense of a full ERP rollout or third‑party processing. The supplier selected ArcESB (using ArcESB Connect with OFTP and the ANSI X12 connector plus spreadsheet integration) to bridge its Excel‑based product management with BMW’s EDI and OFTP2 requirements.

ArcESB implemented secure OFTP2 file transfer, EDI messaging (DELFOR 830 and DESADV 856 via the ANSI X12 connector), and Excel‑monitoring/transformation so spreadsheet updates automatically convert to EDIFACT and are sent to BMW. With support from KA Software for mapping, ArcESB enabled rapid, secure, bidirectional communication with BMW, eliminating in‑house development or third‑party management and delivering faster, lower‑cost integration and reliable EDI/MFT processing.
