AGCO, a global agricultural-equipment company (brands include Challenger, Fendt, GSI, Massey Ferguson and Valtra), faced a manufacturability-analysis challenge in its GSI division: made-to-order grain systems required custom engineering for each order, but cycle-time and cost estimates were managed with disparate spreadsheets that lacked traceability, consistency and shop-floor accuracy — slowing reliable forecasting without impeding engineers’ speed to start new designs.
GSI implemented aPriori’s digital factory, configuring it to match machines, routings and real shop-floor times and integrating it with PLM for automated submission and reporting. The result: a controlled, auditable costing platform used globally (with bulk costing for thousands of parts), consistent and repeatable cycle-time models, faster identification of high-risk components for designers, and improved factory KPIs through verified, standardized manufacturability data.
