UnionBank, one of the Philippines’ largest digital-first banks, faced rampant mobile ad fraud as it rapidly scaled user acquisition across new media partners. To protect campaign performance and ad spend, UnionBank turned to AppsFlyer and deployed its Protect360 fraud protection suite to monitor installs and uncover suspicious activity across partner site IDs.

By integrating partners into AppsFlyer and using Protect360, UnionBank and its partners quickly identified high-fraud site IDs (including partners with 52% and 88% fraud rates), flagged 279,000 fraudulent cases in April (about 30% of paid installs), and tightened partner inventory choices. AppsFlyer’s Protect360 helped lift conversion rates by 5.5% in March and 6.3% in April and saved roughly $300,000 in ad spend, improving campaign efficiency and setting a new benchmark for partner selection.
