Increasing in-app usage and proving incremental lift with AppsFlyer

Kabam, the studio behind Marvel Contest of Champions, needed to boost in‑app usage, convert arcade and non‑mobile gamers, and prove the incremental impact of remarketing across channels. To do this they partnered with AppsFlyer, using OneLink deep linking (CX) to drive seamless arcade-to-app installs and AppsFlyer’s Incrementality and Audiences tools to measure and orchestrate remarketing experiments.

AppsFlyer powered QR-enabled Champions Cards in Dave & Buster’s with OneLink and ran controlled incrementality tests via Incrementality and Audiences to split test/control groups for remarketing. The campaign delivered clear offline attribution, higher time spent in‑app and ARPU, and allowed Kabam to optimize CPAs — achieving about a 20% incremental revenue lift and a 4x increase in conversion likelihood among non‑paying players after remarketing.
