How OneLink Powers FamilyMart’s Omnichannel Evolution

FamilyMart, one of Japan’s largest convenience store chains, wanted to increase app engagement and coupon use through its Famipay app, but its receipt QR code journeys were becoming unreliable as Firebase Dynamic Links approached deprecation. Customers also had to open the app and manually enter coupon codes, creating a slow, frustrating experience in a fast-paced store environment. FamilyMart turned to AppsFlyer’s Deep Linking Suite and OneLink technology to modernize these omnichannel, owned-media campaigns.

With AppsFlyer, FamilyMart embedded campaign codes directly into QR links so scanning a receipt automatically launched the app and pre-filled the coupon code, making redemption much faster and smoother. The result was a 2x increase in coupon redemption rates and a process that was about one-third as fast as before, while also improving measurement accuracy and reducing development and maintenance work.
