Hopper, the Montreal-based travel app that predicts flight and hotel prices, faced the challenge of personalizing offers at massive scale — thousands of origin airports and dozens of creative variants that would create tens of thousands of creatives daily — while competing against rivals who outspend them heavily. To automate allocation and creative roll‑out based on accurate performance data, Hopper partnered with AppsFlyer, using AppsFlyer’s real‑time attribution and cost & revenue tracking to feed their marketing automation needs.
Using AppsFlyer’s granular attribution data, Hopper built the “Hopper Ads Engine,” combining AppsFlyer inputs with Smartly.io and internal scripts to automate daily budget allocation, bids, and dynamic creative generation across partners. The result: Hopper tripled marketing spend capacity and achieved a 10x increase in spend capacity at the same performance, saved 90% of the time creating campaigns, integrated 7 Ads APIs, and improved campaign performance without adding headcount — all enabled by AppsFlyer.
