Case Study: Clover achieves privacy-ready campaign measurability and optimized performance with AppsFlyer's SKAdNetwork solution

A AppsFlyer Case Study

Preview of the Clover Case Study

AppsFlyer's SKAdNetwork solution allowed Clover to optimize campaign performance and workflows

Clover, a subscription-based dating app with over 9 million users, faced a major measurement challenge when Apple’s iOS 14 ATT framework and the loss of IDFA made post-install tracking and conversion attribution much harder—especially given Clover’s need to convert free users to paid subscribers and optimize campaigns on Snapchat, Facebook and TikTok. To address this, Clover turned to AppsFlyer and its SKAdNetwork solution to adapt to privacy-driven attribution and preserve campaign measurability.

AppsFlyer implemented its SKAdNetwork SDK, infrastructure and dashboard so Clover could continue measuring ROI, CPI and ROAS without relying on IDFA (with deterministic attribution available when permission is granted), starting with a plug-and-play integration on Snapchat before extending to Facebook and TikTok. The result: Clover stayed ahead of the ATT rollout, kept most of its key goals achievable using aggregated data, adjusted workflows to accommodate SKAdNetwork’s 24‑hour delayed postbacks, and continued making data-driven UA optimizations with confidence.
