Bannerconnect needed a more cost-effective way to run sophisticated segmentation and bidding for an automotive brand’s direct response campaign, while avoiding opaque “black box” bidding tools. To solve this, Bannerconnect worked with AppNexus and tested the AppNexus Programmable Bidder to better target users who had previously viewed vehicle models on the client’s website.

AppNexus helped Bannerconnect consolidate complex audience and recency strategies into one campaign using customized bid logic. The result was a 76% lower eCPA than the benchmark campaign, a 35% lower eCPA than standard recency targeting, and 60% less time spent on campaign management, with 20% less time versus the recency campaign.
