Case Study: Future Super improves hiring efficiency and reduces bias with Applied

A Applied Case Study

Preview of the Future Super Case Study

Future Super + Applied. Avoiding diversity debt, increasing efficiency

Future Super, Australia’s first ethical superannuation fund, needed a recruitment process that could scale with the business without creating “diversity debt” or relying on personal networks and manual CV screening. They worked with Applied to reduce unconscious bias and build a more structured hiring approach that would support long-term team health and consistent, fair assessments.

Applied helped Future Super design a recruitment process that defined what good looked like upfront and replaced CV sifting with a more objective screening workflow. The result was a much faster first review of candidates—around one hour instead of 1–2 full days—while candidate satisfaction remained high, with the Applied process rated 9.3/10. Future Super said they would never go back to using CVs to screen again.
